2021 Training Camp and Exhibition

Hockey is Back!

The Surrey Eagles are getting ready to soar into the 2021-22 BCHL season! We are excited to announce our 2021 Training Camp dates and venues, as well as welcoming hockey fans back into the rink with us. All training camp dates and ice times will be open to the public to attend, with no admission charged.

Please note: As per British Columbia’s Public Health Officer orders, beginning August 25th, anyone in attendance for indoor public events will be required to wear a face mask or face covering over the nose and mouth at all times while in attendance. Additionally, as of September 13th, attendees will be permitted into events upon the presentation of their proof of vaccination. Please visit the Government of BC website for more information.

The Breakdown

The Eagles begin their invitation-only main camp on Friday, September 17th at our home base of South Surrey Arena (2199 148 Street) from 1:15-2:45 PM.

Next, on Saturday, September 18th, the birds fly to Planet Ice Delta (10388 Nordel Court) for ice from 1:15-2:30 PM.

We close out our training camp schedule on Sunday, September 19th with a split-squad game, with team Navy battling team Green in a 4:00 PM tilt at South Surrey Arena (2199 148 Street). Doors open at 3:00 PM for the final tune-up before the start of league exhibition play.

Exhibition Play

After Main Camp wraps up, the Eagles are right in the thick of it with exhibition play underway the very next day.

Monday, September 20th will see the Coquitlam Express roll into town to take on Surrey for a 2:00 PM tilt, while the Chilliwack Chiefs come for a visit on Wednesday, September 22nd at 7:00 PM.

After a jaunt up to Coquitlam on Friday, the home schedule continues for Surrey on Saturday, September 25th as the Merritt Centennials journey down for a 7:00 PM game.

The Eagles play the role of road warriors for the next three, with stops in Chilliwack, Merritt and Langley before wrapping up the exhibition schedule at home on Sunday, October 3rd at 4:00 PM against the Langley Rivermen.

All games at South Surrey Arena will be free to attend, and all home and away exhibition games will be available to watch by subscription to BCHL TV / HockeyTV. Audio-only broadcasts will be available online for free at MixLR, no subscription required.
