The Surrey Eagles have acquired Tyler Pang from the West Kelowna Warriors in exchange for future considerations. The 19-year-old defenceman is in his first season in the BCHL, and amassed 10 points in 24 games with the Warriors.

Pang is a Victoria, British Columbia native who appeared in 42 Alberta Junior Hockey League games last season with Sherwood Park and Olds, and spent the year before that with the Victoria Cougars of the Vancouver Islander Junior Hockey League.

With second-year defeceman Brendan Winslow out of the lineup for at least the next few weeks, help on the back end was required, and the Eagles are hoping that Pang can step into a role immediately.

The Eagles are back in action with a home game on Friday night vs the Langley Rivermen. It is a 7 PM puck drop before they head to Langley for a home-and-home the very next night. The team then rounds out the weekend with a game in Coquitlam against the Express on Sunday afternoon.
