The bears have been tossed at South Surrey Arena!
Jeremy Smith scored the goal less than ten minutes into the first period, delighting the 808 fans in attendance and sending the bears to the ice. It was the first time Smith had ever played in a teddy bear toss game.
All of the bears were donated on behalf of the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary foundation, and is one of the most anticipated nights on the Eagles schedule. Thank you to all of the fans that participated and donated to a very good cause.
The goal was a part of a wild first period between the Eagles and Coquitlam Express. The Eagles found the back of the net three times, and led the game 3-2 heading into the break.
