Surrey, B.C. – The Surrey Eagles have made an acquisition in the weeks leading up to the start of the 2021-22 BCHL season. The Eagles are proud to announce the commitment of defenseman and Penn State Commit Drew Tsakounis (03) to the team for the 2021-22 season. The young defenseman will be the 2nd defender on the team with a NCAA Div 1 commit, along with Tait Ross who’s committed to Dartmouth College.
The 18 year old defenseman joins the team after spending his 2020-21 season playing with the Sioux City Musketeers in the USHL. In 9 games, Drew didn’t score any points but gained valuable experience in his development. His last full season was in 2019-20 while playing for Avon Old Farms School in the USHS Prep league. In 23 games, Tsakounis scored 7 goals and had 15 points. Tsakounis was born Arlington, Virginia. He stands 5’11 and is a left shot defenseman.
