Kurt Black – #15
In his third full season in the BCHL, forward Kurt Black has emerged as an offensive leader for the Surrey Eagles. He previously spent two seasons with the Chilliwack Chiefs, before starting the 2015-2016 season with the Trail Smoke Eaters. He was acquired for Kyle Star on November 5th, and in 31 games with the Eagles this season he has recorded 13 goals and 13 assists. He has 18 goals in total.
The 6-foot-1 native of Winfield, BC is a smooth skater, who possesses breakaway speed, and is always dangerous on the ice. Even though he is an offensive player, he is reliable defensively and plays a smart, two-way game. Black is in his final year of junior eligibility, and is one of only two 20-year-olds on the roster.
