Tait Ross Commits To Dartmouth College

Surrey, B.C. – The Surrey Eagles are proud to congratulate 16 year old defenseman Tait Ross on his commitment to Dartmouth College. It’s the 2nd NCAA Div. 1 commit of the season, following Christian Fitzgerald’s commitment to Minnesota State University.

It’s a big move for one of the youngest players on this year’s roster. In deciding to go to Dartmouth, Ross mentioned their pedigree being a factor for joining. “Dartmouth being Ivy League sets you up for life. They’ve got a brand new coaching staff with ex NHL coach Reid Cashman. I thought it was a perfect spot for me; it’s a smaller school on a beautiful campus.”

Ross admitted he was a little surprised to have his commitment announced so early in his junior hockey career. “Feels great, it’s definitely awesome but I’ll admit I didn’t think it’d come this fast.”

With the commitment locked down, Ross explained what his goal will be in the BCHL whenever the season gets underway. “Keep getting better every day and prove myself in the league. I think I got a lot more to show.”

Congratulations Tait!
