Surrey Eagles Acquire Defenseman Jordan Hendry From Powell River Kings

Surrey, BC – The Surrey Eagles made another trade this week, and are pleased to announce the team has acquired defenseman Jordan Hendry from the Powell River Kings in exchange for future considerations. For Hendry, it’s a return home as the South Surrey native will get to play for his hometown team.

For the 17 year old, right shot defenseman, it’s the 2nd time he’s been traded in his rookie B.C Hockey League campaign. Jordan started the year with the Trail Smoke Eaters before being traded to the Kings in exchange for goaltender Matteo Paler-Chow. Hendry has played 24 games split between both teams so far this season, tallying 2 assists and 8 penalty minutes.

Prior to this season, Hendry spent 3 years in the Valley West organization of the B.C Major Midget League where he posted 8 goals, 31 points, and 64 penalty minutes in 82 games played.

Welcome to the flock Jordan!
