Eagles Score Tic-Tac-Toe Beauty In Game vs Trail

The Surrey Eagles scored arguably their nicest goal of the year on Friday night in Trail against the Smoke Eaters. Forward Max Mohagen picked up his sixth goal of the season in style by stealing the puck, then setting up a three-way passing play with linemates Caige Sterzer and Jake Toor.

After stealing the puck, Mohagen flipped it to Sterzer who quickly passed it across to a streaking Toor. Toor then return-passed it to Mohagen who was driving toward the net and caught goaltender Adam Marcoux way out of position. He made no mistake on a wide open net, which tied the game 1-1 at the time.

The game would end in heartbreak for the Eagles, unfortunately. The Smoke Eaters broke a 3-3 tie with only 41 seconds left on the clock, and won the game as a result. It was a tough ending to one of the most well-played games of the season.
