Corey Clifton Scores First Career BCHL Goal

Corey Clifton became the third Eagles player to score their first career BCHL goal this season when he netted one against the Merritt Centennials on Tuesday night. Clifton joins Jason Chu and Matteo Pecchia as rookies who have scored within the first three games of the 2018-19 season.

The Eagles played their first road game of the season on Tuesday night, travelling to Merritt for their one-and-only visit of the season. It was a wild game that saw the Cents score four times in the second period, and the Eagles score five times in the third. The comeback came up just short, with the visiting Eagles falling by a 7-6 score.

Clifton’s goal was the Eagles’ second of the night, and sparked the eventual comeback bid in the third period.
