The BCHL officially announced the schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season on Tuesday afternoon. The details of the BCHL Showcase Festival presented by Bauer have not been released, so only 56 of the 58 total games are available to the public. The rest of the schedule and details will be announced at a later date.
The Surrey Eagles open their regular season with a two-game set in Prince George on September 6th and 7th. They return to South Surrey Arena for the home opener on Friday, September 13th when they will play the divisional rival Coquitlam Express.
The longest stretch away from home will occur from November 21st to December 19th in which the team will play eight consecutive games on the road. Road games during that time period will take them to Vernon and Trail, as well as up the Sunshine Coast to Powell River and over to the island to meet Nanaimo and Victoria.
The longest home stand is a six-game stretch from November 3rd to 20th that will see six different opponents pass through The Nest. Vernon, Prince George, Langley, Coquitlam, Merritt, and West Kelowna will all pay the Eagles an early season visit during the lengthy stretch of home games.
The Eagles will also finish the season with six of their final seven games at home, in what could be an important run of games. The only road game of the seven is a short trip to Coquitlam on February 19th for the second-to-last game of the regular season.
