Mario Cavaliere Commits To Brock University

A second Surrey Eagles player has committed to Brock University for next hockey season.

Goaltender Mario Cavaliere will be joining teammate Matthew Campese on the Brock Badgers in 2018-19 after he committed to the school earlier this month.

Cavaliere was acquired by the Eagles at the trade deadline from the Georgetown Raiders of the OJHL.

In his time with the Eagles, Cavaliere became a crowd favourite and was affectionately dubbed “Super Mario” by fans. He quickly made an impression by recording three shutouts in his first four BCHL games, including back-to-back shutouts in his first two games.

The 20-year-old appeared in 12 regular season games and 13 playoff games. He was an integral part of the team’s first-round series win over the Langley Rivermen – posting a .912 save percentage over the course of the playoffs.

The Eagles would like to wish Mario the best of luck with his new team!
