BRANDON MORLEY OFF TO NCAA
Surrey Eagles forward Brandon Morley has verbally committed to Merrimack College to play Division I NCAA. Merrimack is also the School that Brandon’s older brother Tyler is attending in 2012.
The Eagles would like to congratulate Brandon with his accomplishment. This is a great deal for the Morley family to have both sons at the same school.
“It’s pretty exciting to be going to the same school as my brother. I talked with the coaches at Merrimack for a little while and it’s a really good school,” Brandon said about the decision. “I like playing with my brother here in Surrey so it should be a good fit at Merrimack.”
Eagles captain Tyler Morley was obviously happy for his brother as well. “It’s big for the family that our parents will be able to make three or so trips to one school and not having to go all over the place to watch us play,” Tyler said. “He met the coach when he came to talk to me and it was all his decision.”
“Brandon choosing to come and play with the Eagles was a big deal for our team and Tyler,” head coach Matt Erhart commented. “It’s especially nice for the Morley family to have both boys go to the same NCAA institution.”
Merrimack plays in the Hockey East Division and is based in North Dover Massachusetts and has an enrolment or 2000 students.
