Lake Superior State-Committed Ashton Calder Added To Eagles Roster

The Surrey Eagles hockey club is pleased to announce that 18-year-old forward Ashton Calder has been added to the active roster. Calder joins the team after starting the season with the Minnesota Wilderness of the NAHL. He recorded 10 goals in 44 games played with the Wilderness last season.

The Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan native previously earned a scholarship to Lake Superior State University starting in the 2017-18 season. At 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, Calder will also look to add some needed grit to the current group of forwards – but he is primarily known for his scoring ability.

Calder has joined the team immediately and will be available to play in the Eagles next home game, Thursday September 29th against Chilliwack. It is also the first night of Thursday Night Hockey, where fans will receive a free hot dog and soft drink with the purchase of any game ticket.

Tickets for that game are available now by contacting the Eagles at 604-531-GOAL or at the box office on game day! Click here for pricing details.
