Junior Showcase Hockey League (JSHL) Teams
Following a very successful inaugural spring season in 2018, the Eagles will again be building teams that will compete in the JSHL. This showcase league is a perfect way to gain some exposure and increase your standing in the eyes of junior leagues and even NCAA programs.
All teams in the JSHL are associated with BCHL teams and the showcase events are played in BCHL cities around BC from April to June. With a good spread of teams from around the Province including West Kelowna, Cowichan Valley, Victoria, Langley and more the JSHL is looking to expand it’s number of teams in 2019.
The Eagles will hold a tryout camp in November 2018 where we will identify and move players along into a final main tryout camp to take place in January 2019. The Eagles attempt to give their teams a true junior hockey experience. We try to replicate the experience of playing on our BCHL team as closely as possible. Our teams travel to away showcases together on the team bus and stay in hotels together. Each game of the showcases are played on a full 2 ½ hour ice slots so games are full 60 minutes stop time with extended warm ups and ice cleans between every period.
The league collects and posts player profiles on the leagues website as well as complete team and individual statistics making it easy for scouts to get a good idea about our players prior to attending a showcase and watching in person.
