Eagles Outpaced By Express In Coquitlam

Three games in a span of three day’s can and for most teams takes its toll, but managing to pull
out a pair of games can be rewarding, especially when the team is in the hunt for a playoff spot.

The Eagles traveled to Coquitlam after “thumping” the Rivermen by an impressive 5-0 score in
hopes of keeping the winning streak alive, but the Express had other thoughts.

Surrey rested Cavaliere giving him the ever needed day off to “recoup” following his hectic
travel schedule, plus allowing him to get climatized with his surroundings on the west coast.

Davidson stood tall, but on this night he was unable to stop the penetration from the explosive
Express club who are still in the hunt for a playoff spot, which could happen if the stars aline
correct.

Coquitlam used their weapons to explode for a single in the first, a single in the second and
outshooting the Eagles in the third by a two to one margin, pulling off a 4-1 victory at home on
Porier Street.

In addition to grabbing the win they managed to steal the Fortis BC Player of the Game as well as
all three star selections.

One positive that came out of the game was having the ability to watch Michard would fit into
the line-up as they move forward for the push towards the playoffs as well as playing a more
disciplined style of game taking only one of the five penalties assessed, all of which were
minors.

Moving forward to game three in as many nights has the Eagles wiping this game off the slate
and spending time focusing on a “tired” Cowichan Valley Capitals squad who have also played
three games in as many nights.

The Eagles are expecting to have the return of Wesley so as to unite the explosive line
combination of Wesley, Westgard and Burgart to add more scoring punch to the roster.

Wipe this off the books and focus on Sunday’s game against the Capitals is all one can expect!
